DIA provides professional certified translation and facilitation services for international travelers worldwide.
Purpose of Document
The International Driving Permit (IDP) issued by Driving International Association is a Certified Translation of your domestic driving license, formatted as per the 1949 Geneva Convention and 1968 Vienna Convention on Road Traffic. It is intended to bridge the language gap for foreign authorities and car rental agencies.
- Translates your license details into multiple internationally recognized languages
- Accepted by traffic authorities and car rental companies in 150+ countries
- Serves as companion documentation alongside your original national driving license

Acceptance Policy
While documents issued by Driving International Association follow international standards (Article 24 of the 1949 Convention), the final acceptance of the translation rests solely with local foreign law enforcement and private car rental companies.
DIA makes every effort to ensure our IDP meets globally accepted standards. We maintain acceptance in 150+ countries and provide full support in the event of any acceptance issues.
No Liability
Driving International Association shall not be held liable for any legal issues, traffic violations, accidents, or penalties incurred by the member while driving in a foreign country. Members are advised to strictly follow all local traffic laws of the country they are visiting.
- DIA is not liable for traffic violations or fines issued by foreign authorities
- DIA is not responsible for accidents or damage caused while driving abroad
- DIA does not guarantee acceptance by every individual rental company or officer
