1. Non-Governmental Entity:
Conduccion International Association (CIA) is a private membership-based association and is not affiliated with, or a part of, any Government agency, RTO, or the Ministry of Road Transport and Highways (MoRTH). We provide professional certified translation and facilitation services for international travelers.
2. Purpose of Document:
The International Driving Permit (IDP) issued by CIA is a Certified Translation of your domestic driving license, formatted as per the 1949 and 1968 United Nations Conventions on Road Traffic. It is intended to bridge the language gap for foreign authorities and car rental agencies.
3. Original License Requirement:
This document is NOT a replacement for your original driving license. It is only valid when carried along with a valid, original physical Domestic Driving License issued by your home country.
4. Acceptance Policy:
While our documents follow international standards (Article 24 of the 1949 Convention), the final acceptance of the translation rests solely with local foreign law enforcement and private car rental companies. CIA does not take responsibility for any denial of service by third-party entities or local authorities abroad.
5. No Liability:
CIA shall not be held liable for any legal issues, traffic violations, accidents, or penalties incurred by the member while driving in a foreign country. Members are advised to strictly follow the local traffic laws of the country they are visiting.
